2012 Easter Egg Hunt in Bay Area Bookmark and Share

Easter comes really early this year. We have compiled over 40 egg hunt events around the bay area. Bring your little ones out and have some fun!

South Bay:

  • Easter Egg Hunt (Mar 31, 10am - 12pm)
    Where: State & 2nd st, Los Altos

    Free for children 1-10 years old. Enter the Jelly Bean contest, make an ester bonnet, enjoy face painting, and meet the Easter Bunny. Hunt for candy filled eggs on Main and State. Limit 5 egg per child. Please bring your own basket.
    Where: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Los Altos

    Activities for children from Pre-K to 5th grade that will consist of crafts, games, snacks, and of course, an Easter Egg Hunt at the end!.
  • Easter Party & Egg Hunt (Apr 4, 10am - 12pm) (no more)
    Where: Unity Palo Alto Community Church, Palo Alto

    Easter Party with egg hunt, crafts, games, egg dying, snacks, and living bunnies will be visiting. Fun for all.
  • Bunny Fun Hunt (Mar 31, 10am - 1pm)
    Where: Los Gatos High School-Front Lawn

    Carnival Games, Food Booths, Fun Jumps, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo and Much More! Free Egg Hunt - Bring Your Basket!
  • Easter Egg Hunt Cupertino (Mar 31, 10:30am - 3pm)
    Where: Memorial Park, Cupertino

    Balloons, face painting, jump house, puppet show, music, story, arts & crafts, games & prizes.
  • The Hunt Eggstravaganza (Apr 7, 12pm - 2pm)
    Where: Dove Hill Elementary School, San Jose

    Free Easter Egg Hunt! Sponsored by Evergreen Valley Church.
  • Berryessa Spring Egg Hunt (Apr 7)
    Where: Berryessa Community Center, San Jose

    There will be egg hunts for each age group, a special prize for those who find the GOLDEN EGG, and children will be able to create holiday-themed Arts & Crafts.
  • Easter at Fairmont San Jose (Apr 8)
    Where: Fairmont Hotel, San Jose

    Every hour from 11:30am - 2:30pm, our resident holiday bunny will stash eggs filled with candy and even a golden egg with a very special surprise.

    Where: central park, Santa Clara

    for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and special needs. Spring Activities include: Meeting the Easter Bunny, Face Painting, Easter Baskets, Theatre
  • The Hunt at Serra Park (Apr 23)
    Where: Serra Park, Sunnyvale

    Organized by Valley Church. There will be multiple hunts throughout the afternoon, at 1:30, 2, 2:30, and 3pm
    Kids Easter Egg Hunt (Apr 23, 10-11am)
    Where: New Hope International Church Parking Lot, Sunnyvale

    Organized by New Hope International Church. For ages 3-12 years old.
  • Campbell Eggstravaganza (Apr 7, 10:30 am)
    Where: Campbell Community Center

    For children ages 2-12. The egg and candy hunt will begin on the Athletic Fields of the Campbell Community Center at 10:30am SHARP. Please bring a bag or basket for your child. Thousands of plastic colored eggs will be sprinkled throughout the lawn. That may seem like a lot of eggs, but they are all picked up within minutes - those kids are fast! Festivities that morning, beginning at 9am, will include face painting, finger nail painting, games, arts and crafts activities, a jump house, and pictures with the Eggstravaganza Bunny.
  • Annual Bunnies & Nonnets Parade (Apr 7, 12pm)
    Where: Downtown Campbell

    This event follows the City of Campbell's annual Easter Egg Hunt. In past years, the parade has featured marching bands, baton dancers, classic cars, bagpipers, floats, dog clubs, and other assorted things of interest that make up the Campbell area community.
  • Easter Egg Hunt at St. Timothy's (Apr 8, 10am)
    Were: St. Timothy's, 2094 Grant Rd, Mountain View

    The hunt will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. Bring your own basket to collect eggs.
  • Easter Family Fun Day East Palo Alto (Apr 7, noon)
    Were: Bell Park, East Palo Alto

    Easter Egg Hunt, arts and crafts, rally races, entertainment by local youth organizations, food trucks, and more!
  • Children's Easter Party! (Apr 7)
    Were: Gamble Garden, Palo Alto

    The party will start with fun arts and crafts, then the Puppet Show! Total three sessions. Register early

San Francisco:

  • Moscone Recreation Center Community Spring Fling Party (Mar 31, 10am)
    Where: Moscone Recreation Center

    Egg hunts, cookie decorating, egg dyeing, carnival games, sack races, bouncy castle, arts&crafts and fun for the whole family!
  • 1st Annual Kezar Gardens Easter Egg Hunt (Apr 1, 11am)
    Where: Kezar Garden

    Face painting, a Jumpy House, an Easter Egg Hunt, Pictures with the Easter Bunny, and a drawing for prizes.
  • Big Bunny's Spring Fling at Zoo (Apr 7 & 8)
    Where: SF Zoo

    Fun crafts, puppet shows, photo with Bunny.
  • Spring Eggstravaganza (Apr 7)
    Where: Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park

    This family event features Egg Hunts, Carnival Rides, Jumpy Houses, Arts & Crafts, Entertainment, and a Rib Cook-Off.
  • Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Fairmont (Apr 8)
    Where: Fairmont Hotel, SF

    Children will enjoy our ongoing Easter Egg Hunt in the Fountain Room from 9:30am to 2:30pm featuring a balloon artist. The Easter Bunny will make appearances throughout the day and will hand out treats to children.
  • Union Street Spring Celebration & Easter Parade (April 8)
    Where: Union Street, Gough to Fillmore, SF

    A variety of children's and family activities are the focus of the event and include; large inflatable bounces, kids' rides and games, a climbing wall, a hands-on children's activities area, costumed characters, a petting zoo, a pony ride and entertainment from some of the Bay Area's best musicians.


  • Annual Easter Egg and Pancake Breakfast (Mar 31, 9am)
    Where: San Bruno City Park

    Chamber of Commerce Panckae Breakfast will be from 9-11am. egg hunt begin at 11am.
  • Egg Hunt in South San Francisco (Mar 31, 10am)
    Where: Orange Memorial Park on Orange ave

    Two egg hunts taking place. One just for Pre-Schoolers 3-5 years old and the second one for Elementary children 6-8 years old. Bring your own basket.
  • Redwood City HUNT (Apr 11, gates open at 12:30pm)
    Where: Red Morton Park, Redwood City

    HUNT is a free Easter egg hunt for children ages 0-12. there will be a variety of activities to enjoy.
  • Egg Hunt in Menlo Park (Apr 7, 10am - 12pm)
    Where: Burgess Park, Menlo park

    the Easter Bunny arrives on an antique fire truck. This is for children 8 and younger. Bring a basket for the eggs.
  • Easter Bunny by Helicopter (Apr 7, 10:30am)
    where: Hiller Aviation Museum, San Carlos

    How do you think the Easter Bunny gets around so fast to deliver those eggs? By helicopter of course! Join the Hiller Aviation Museum in welcoming the bunny arrive in a personal helicopter at 10:30am on April 3. Now if you think that is fun then you are in for an even bigger surprise. Stick around and get an egg straight from the bunny and get your face painted by the Magic Princesses. To top it off, the popular European Model Train display will also be open for everyone to enjoy.
  • San Carlos Easter Egg Hunt (Apr 11, 11am sharp)
    Where: San Carlos City Hall Park

    For children ages 3 to 8. FREE admission. Bring your own basket.
  • Egg Hunt in Belmont (Apr 7, 9am)
    Where: Twin Pines Meadow off of Ralston, Belmont

    Itís a free event for 3-10 year olds and all will get eggs, candy and other surprises. Bring your own basket.
  • Eggstravaganza Ė San Mateo (Apr 7, 9am - 1pm)
    Where: Central Park, San Mateo

    Eggstravaganza Ė San Mateo's signature springtime community event and largest "egg hunt", including pancake breakfast, Art & games. Andy Z, egg hunt, parade, happy birds.
  • Easter Egg Hunt - Foster City (Apr 23, 1pm)
    Where: Ryan Park, Foster City

    Eeet at Ryan Park, usually at 1:00 PM, stake out areas for different age groups, and scatter thousands of chocolate Easter Eggs. Promptly at 2:00 PM the hunt starts! Of course the Easter Bunny is there to make sure that no child leaves with an empty basket.

East Bay:

  • EGG SCRAMBLE & ALAMEDA SPRING FLING (Mar 31, 10am - 4pm)
    Where: Crown Beach Memorial State Park, Alameda
    Enjoy all-day family activities including the annual treat hunt (11:30) around the visitor center lawn. 10-11:30: visit activity stations including crafts, games, music and more. Noon-1pm: Low Tide Exploration, 1:30-2pm: Bay Diorama Program, 2-3pm:Beach Exploration
    3-3:30pm: Fish Feeding
  • Easter Weekend at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach (Apr 7 & 8)
    Where: Playland-not-at-the-beach, El Cerrito

    Seek and ye shall find eggs-cellent surprises at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach! Throughout our Museum of Fun, kids can find eggs-tra-ordinary things among the antiques of our Penny Arcade, all among free play machines of Pinball Alley and around the classic games of the Carousel Carnival. Hunters big and small can search the exhibitions dedicated to bygone American amusements and eggs-change what they find for prizes! The yolks on us at Playland's Easter Egg Hunt.
  • Spring Egg Hunt Extravaganza (Apr 7, 10:00am -1pm)
    Where:Willard Park, Berkeley

    In addition to the egg hunt, enjoy petting zoo, a visit with the Spring Bunny, Spring-themed arts & crafts, an interactive kidís carnival with fun prizes and Bunny Hop Dance Lessons!
  • 18th Annual Egg Hunt and Learning Festival (Apr 7, 10:00am -3pm)
    Where:UC Berkeley

    Bring the whole family for arts and crafts and egg hunts for children 12 years of age and under! The Learning Festival will take place rain or shine.
  • Egg Dying & Water Games (Apr 8)
    Where: King Pool, Berkeley

    Enjoy egg dying on the pool deck and fun games in the shallow section of the pool.
  • Great Easter Egg Hunt (Apr 7)
    Where: 2960 Peralta Oaks Court, Oakland

    A Dunsmuir Hellman Historic Estate tradition where children of all ages can greet the Bunny and take a close-up photo. Bring your own basket to fill with eggs.     Where: Danville Community Center and Town Green

  • Bonnet Parade & Egg Hunt (April 7, 9am)

    Where: Kennedy Park, Hayward

    Easter Bonnet Parade and egg hunt for kids 3-9 years old.

  • Cherryland's 4th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza (Mar 31)
    Where: Meek Estate Park, Hayward

    Egg Hunt by Age groups(1-12yrs old). Bonnet Parade. Egg Roll and egg decorating contest.
  • FREE Community Easter Egg Hunt (Apr 7)
    Where: Christ Community Church, Milpitas

    Ages 2 to 4th Grade -- please bring one bag of wrapped candy per child

North Bay:

  • Easter on The Farm (Apr 7, 10am - 1pm)
    Where: Agricultural History Project, 2601 E. Lake Ave, Watsonville

    In addition to the two egg hunts, there are real chickens, and there will be hat and basket decorating, games for children and hay rides for all ages.
  • Eggstraordinary Egg Hunt (Apr 7 & 8)
    Where: Roaring Camp, Felton

    Kiddies hunt for lots of chocolate candy eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny in a redwood forest. This event takes place on our redwood forest steam train. Children must have a train ticket to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. In the event of rain, train cars and Easter Egg Hunt will be under cover.

17th Annual Eggster Egg Hunt & Learning Festival

foster city and campbell should get worst award for easter hunt , to those of
that never been to their easter hunt never never never go there.. why it will
waste your chance of go to other great places cause most of these egg hunt
happen at about the same time.. let me tell you my experiences ..

hunt leave half of kids crying .. right after they close its play ground.. like
in an earthquick happening

foster city .... me and my kids feel like dame
homeless waiting inline for eggs.. more then 90% of kids didn't get anything
left with their parents cussing .
